Course Lessons

Dean Van Der Byl

Dean is a seasoned professional with over 30 years of Project & Programme Management experience. He am fully conversant with PRINCE2, PMBOK and SCRUM (Agile and Scaled Agile), and has used all of these methodologies to manage across the full project lifecycle in a number of different environments. These environments including Fintech, Medical Aid Administration, Credit Service Providers, Mobile Financial Services; Information Technology; Financial, Call, Telecommunications, Educational, Government, and Banking. Dean has an MBA from UCT's Graduate School, graduating in the top 30% of the class. 

His personal passion lies within researching AI tools that enables micro and small business owners and individuals to maximise efficiency in their work environment. He has extensive experience with Generative AI (GPTs in particular) (including advance prompt engineering skills, and various specialized plugin programs.). He has used a range of AI powered tools in various environments fairly extensively (design, business, video creation & editing, financial, AI agents and technology for starters). These include AI focused applications such as Gemini, Claude, MS Co-Pilot, Perplexity, PopAi. MS Design, Revoicer, Voiceflow, and a number of AI powered job specific tools (AI Excel, AI Finance, AI Project Management, to name a few).
